Notelemedicine is NOT appropriate for serious injuries, suspected fractures, or head trauma.
These situations usually require in-person evaluation, imaging, and monitoring to rule out internal injury or complications.

You should seek urgent care or emergency care immediately — or call 911 — if any of the following apply:

🚨 Go to the ER / call EMS for

  • Head injury with loss of consciousness, confusion, vomiting, seizure, severe headache, or drowsiness

  • Possible neck or spine injury

  • Severe bleeding or deep wounds

  • Obvious deformity, suspected fracture, or limb not bearing weight

  • Large swelling after an injury

  • Numbness, weakness, or loss of movement

  • Eye injury or facial trauma

  • Injuries from a fall from height, car crash, or high-impact force

Telemedicine cannot provide X-rays/CT scans, wound care, splinting, or neurological monitoring — waiting for a virtual visit can be dangerous.
