Very interesting development, I was surprised this happened so fast.
I did some more research on this. They are only going to charge $4, and will only charge if the prescription is approved.
I'm very surprised Utah is allowing this business model. In most states 'corporate practice of medicine' is illegal and in most states paying a clinician per prescription provided is also illegal (and probably unethical if you ask any Board of Medicine).
Will AI 'learn' a bias to approve medicine refills to improve profits? Lots of questions here.
I was also curious how they got malpractice insurance....turns out they self insured. Money talks I guess.
